The Faculty/Staff File server will be restarted at 5:00 PM today to recover from a backup error. This reboot should take 5-10 minutes.

There has been continuing work performed on the Faculty/Staff File Server Migration over the weekend. Several users’ home directories (P: drives) have been moved from the old server, Mahler, to the new server, Mozart. If you experience problems connected to your home directory, please reboot and login to get the new drive mapping. Following this, if you still have problems, please contact ITS.

This morning a small change was made to GroupWise WebAccess. When you go the http://gww.anderson.edu, instead of being redirected to https://gww.anderson.edu/gw/webacc, you will be redirected to https://gwwc.anderson.edu/gw/webacc. You will still be accessing the same server but the name has just changed a bit, notice it is ‘gwwC’ now. This has been done as a preliminary step to providing a second, redundant WebAccess server in the near future. If you currently have a shortcut or bookmark saved with the full path to ‘gww’ it will continue to work for a while, but once the new server is added to the mix it may no longer work. The best option is to create or modify your bookmark to point to http://gww.anderson.edu. This will allow for the correct redirect to happen.
Watch for more updates to the situation as we continue to strive to provide more reliable service.

Replacement of network blade was completed at approximately 12:00 pm. All wireless services should be restored.
We are current reconfiguring network equipment in Morrison, Myers, Smith House and other points west. That work should be completed in the early afternoon. Report problems if they persist after a re-boot after 2 pm.




The IntelliSync server was down this morning for a couple of hours from 8:15 AM - 10:15 AM for an unscheduled maintenance issue. Please let us know if you experience issues.
